Projects, projects projects....
Its all about synchronIcity, from the first bell to the atomic clock. The largest area of interest is electric master clocks and their slave units, these synchronised the 20 Century. Scroll down to the table and press on ‘Electric clocks’ to find out more.
Turret Clocks: Have you got a turret clock in a building or a collection? Then click on Turret Clock. We have a network of connections that can help you out.
Devon Clock Trust: This was the pilot study for clocktrust. We visit and record turret clocks and work in partnership with owners to establish strategic plans for the long term care of turret clocks.
Clock Watch: This allows clocks and bell systems to be linked to displays and the internet. This allows hidden industrial heritage to be viewed. Seen and they are remembered, not and they are lost!
If you want to be involved all you have to do is make contact, its that easy. You might be able to get your clock going, make sure that it does not degrade, or find it another use within society.
Some of the projects are competitions, like the Race4Time. When we complete a project we record it via a information site, dvd or other media of the time. We also try and allow people to sell what they don’t need and allow others to acquire it. The Clockmart (www.got2own.co.uk Quest). What ever your need or your question we have the matrix of involvement (contacts) and the clubs.
