We see (perceive) the world in dimensions, up-down, left-right & forward-backward. We also see things move, this we call time. Velocity and differences of this. Using a 2D photo to look like a 3D image is a magical process and allows you to rethink what you actually see.
We do magical workshops, all project led, where we consider different goggles to find different information. One workshop we run with WSCC gifted and talented program (see collaborators).
Sometimes you need different goggles to see different aspects of science. Sometimes these goggles are experiments or pieces of equipment. In the electric world we use the Oscilloscope (a simple Television). So from 2D-3D is an important transition.
Lets put a general set of goggles on (perception and place). We are told that the Universe is expanding at the speed of light. You can imagine it like a balloon with infinite stretch, except on the surface there are vibrations. What makes it expand? Energy does. At the start in one place, so concentrated, it was unstable and had to expand. This energy has an equivalent mass, and this can be locked into loops to form circuits, particles. We hope you now 'see' what different goggles can do.
Look at the pictures below, one at a time, relax your eyes, is it a hole or a peak. Either way it is a singularity, technically.
